Smart City technology is quickly becoming a crowded field. Smart lighting alone will exceed $51.05b by 2025. Verizon needed to scale their intelligent management platform for large cities like Los Angeles to meet the emerging market.

After a research and discovery phase, we were able to validate assumptions with real users, pressure test, and gain more competitive understanding. This lead to a fully re-designed lighting management and mobile maintenance app that provides increased actionability, efficiency, and scalability.

Something as simple as getting a single consolidated daily alert notification could radically change how a city manager users their time. Using a map-centric interface for cities managing traffic, lighting and spaces, we didn’t just provide better control, but more specific control.
